Announcing The Final Q'Zam'Ta Trilogy Novel Title

As 2026 comes to a close, so does The Q'Zam'Ta Trilogy with the launch of novel three in December.

Black and white drawing I made for one of the concepts behind The Q'Zam'Ta Trilogy. Wavy grid lines, three stick figures, some boxes hashed in with charcoal lines.

I'm in the home stretch of writing and publishing The Q'Zam'Ta Trilogy. These are the days of polishing the third novel's manuscript, writing the Acknowledgements, updating the Author Presence, and adding an AI Statement, the last being super annoying to do but necessitated by the influx of artificial intelligence into creative works. Today, I also finalize the title.

Titling the first novel of The Q'Zam'Ta Trilogy — even the trilogy itself — was easy compared to titling this third and final novel. My first iterations bit the dust when I realized I had to scale back the events to end not at the end of Revelation but a few chapters before that. I brainstormed some ideas with a couple of people, decided the titles of the three novels had to reflect both vocabulary metre and story action. I hit on the perfect title; I tossed it soon after.

Nothing seemed to fit.

I hit on the perfect one (again) and created a simple graphic of it to put on the trilogy web page.

But the more I considered it, and the more the story unfolded itself, the less it fit in my mind. I brainstormed again. Finally, at last, I had a title that worked. I know it does because I've stuck with it and doubts have been minimal.

Announcing…

🎉
The Soul's Turning.

Cover to come.

While I work on the front and back matter of The Soul's Turning, the same people who created the cover for The Soul's Reckoning and worked on the back cover copy, Amazon A+ graphics, keywords, tags, categories, and tag lines of the first two novels, are working on these for novel three. Also, I have a new final reader — what would they be called? Zeta reader? — reviewing the polished manuscript. I'll receive their notes mid-November.

Meanwhile, I'm reprinting the Revelation study posts I put on Substack two years ago. You'll find them on my new Mind Explorer on the Atmosphere blog as I update links and post them every couple of days.

To comment on this post, you'll need an Atmosphere account. Don't worry it's free and with it you can explore other publications, social platforms, and apps without big tech following you.

I look forward to reading your thoughts!
